Majolica Ceramics

Majolica is a type of ceramic characterized by a very striking particular vitreous finish. The technique is ancient and became very popular in the 15th century. A white, opaque and shiny glaze is applied to the ceramic, composed of silica, calcined sodium ash, lead and tin.
