Ilumin(art)

Lighting should be the main factor when creating atmospheres in the spaces around us.

Light has an essential influence on people in the way they relate to each other and how we perceive objects and spaces.

Functionality and aesthetics are not incompatible when it comes to designing an attractive and welcoming space.

Our ILUMIN(ARTE) exhibition presents pieces that will let your imagination fly.

Sunflower table lamp

State: Oaxaca
Technique: Glazed clay

Glazed clay is a type of clay that has been covered with a vitreous glaze before being fired. This fusion is combined with other oxides to obtain different colours, for example, chromium oxide gives green tones. This technique allows for obtaining shiny and colourful surfaces on ceramic pieces, as well as providing a protective layer that makes them more durable and water resistant.

Multicoloured openwork lamp

Artisan Creator: Norberto Regino
State: Oaxaca

Technique: Painted and Openwork Clay
Preparation time: 30 days

Openwork is a type of decoration applied to clay pieces before they are air-dried. This type of decoration consists of making perforations forming different drawings or patterns that add complexity and beauty to the finished piece. In Mexican pottery, these openworks allow you to see through the piece. Therefore, they are especially beautiful when used to decorate pieces to illuminate a space, as they create spectacular patterns of light and shadow.
