Wido Ramírez Exhibition
ALTAR OF THE DEAD
Wido Ramírez is originally from the town of Dolores Hidalgo in the state of Guanajuato and lives between Madrid and Mexico. He currently directs the cardboard workshop called Jirafalada, which is focused on the creation and promotion of Mexican cardboard.
We will celebrate together this holiday full of life, color, tradition and love for our loved ones.
Because by remembering those who are gone, you keep them alive and that is the best way to honor them.
Remembering their joy, their customs and their experiences makes the altar a place full of their memories, where for a time they are brought back.
Wido's process in cartonry
Cartonería is a traditional Mexican technique, which allows us to make any piece we can imagine using paper and paste mainly, and sometimes other materials such as wire, different types of paper or cardboard are added.
