Artisan creator of volcanic stone

Jerry has been working with volcanic stone since he was 12 years old, with his father. A family heritage that has been passed down from generation to generation.

When we visited the workshop he told us how when the stones are extracted they already know what piece they will become.

A man determined to maintain and grow the family legacy, transmitting business values to his family, such as that the quality of their products is what will give them a good name, respect, and an opportunity for their pieces to cross borders.

It's amazing how a shapeless stone ends up being a beautiful piece. Jerry

This is how he makes the pieces

From functional pieces to decorative sculptures

First, the stone is extracted from the mountainside of his village by digging into the ground.

They break it into smaller pieces so that it can be transported to the workshop, where they begin the roughing process, which is the process that removes the excess from the stone and with which it begins to be shaped.
